With a combined experience of more than 25 years, Attorneys Eden J. Allyn and Kristin M. Smith have provided committed, compassionate legal representation in the greater Detroit area. Our firm helps clients with matters including mortgage foreclosure, real estate, bankruptcy, divorce and estate planning.
Attorney Allyn began her career in the banking industry and moved into the mortgage industry, giving her a wealth of experience with regard to finance, asset protection, mortgage foreclosure and property investment. In 1990, she obtained her real estate license. This provides her with valuable perspective that comes from understanding how each side of a real estate transaction works. Her experience lets her anticipate concerns that may develop and solve them before they become more difficult problems. In addition, Attorney Eden J. Allyn is certified in collaborative practice.
Since commencing her career with the Oakland County Friend of the Court, Attorney Smith has dedicated her career to assisting people through the difficult divorce process. Subsequently, Attorney Smith used her Friend of the Court experience to guide and assist her clients in private practice, both of the divorce and post-judgment issues. Upon resolution, Attorney Smith was able to assist these clients with the administrative housekeeping that occurs post-divorce. In so doing, Attorney Smith's clients could start fresh, often with a new estate plan based upon their updated situation.
Attorneys Allyn and Smith appear before the state courts of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Attorney Allyn is a member of the Michigan State Bar Association, Consumer Bankruptcy Association, Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan, International Academy of Collaborative Divorce Professionals, Association for Conflict Resolution and Family Mediation Counsel.
Attorney Smith is a member of the Michigan State Bar Association, Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan, International Academy of Collaborative Divorce Professionals, Associaiton for Conflict Resolution and Family Mediation Counsel.
