Kristin M. Smith has worked on behalf of clients since 1995. From the beginning of her career, Ms. Smith has been an ardent advocate for those who find themselves in difficult legal circumstances, utilizing her legal skills for the benefit of her clients. Ms. Smith is trained in collaborative divorce. She is also a trained mediator and consistently participates in pro bono family law mediation in Wayne County. She also practices before the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Ms. Smith has dedicated her legal career to assisting people in dealing with difficult family law matters. She began her career with the Oakland County Friend of the Court. Ms. Smith uses her Friend of the Court experience to guide and assist her clients in private practice. She has worked with clients in resolving divorce and custody issues. She has also aided her clients with the administrative housekeeping that occurs post-divorce, particularly with regard to estate planning and financial concerns. Ms. Smith helps her clients start fresh, secure in the knowledge that their attorney has helped them see the big picture and focus on every aspect of their lives.

Prior to founding Allyn Smith Law Group, PC, with Ms. Allyn, Ms. Smith was an associate attorney with Victor and Robbins. She also worked as an associate attorney at Kemp Klein Umprey & Endelman, P.C. before acting as the managing attorney for GE Capital.

Ms. Smith studied Public Administration as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan. She received her B.A. in 1992. She studied law at the Detroit College of Law. She received her Juris Doctor in 1995.

Ms. Smith is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the Wayne County Family Law Bar, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Women's Lawyer Association.
